Dr. David Bartres-Faz new chair of the ‘Reserve, Resilience and Protective Factors’ PIA of the Alzheimer’s Association International Society

At its annual executive meeting, on September 20, 2021, the professional interest area (PIA) ‘Reserve, Resilience and Protective Factors’ of the Alzheimer’s Association International Society to Advance Alzheimer’s Research and Treatment, (ISTAART) officially announced that Dr. David Bartrés Faz, group leader at the Institute of Neuroaciences of the University of Barcelona, will be its new president (chair) for the next two years.

This working group includes more than 800 professionals from around the world who work to research and promote knowledge of environmental factors and biological mechanisms that help maintain brain function in old age and are protective in Alzheimer’s disease.
