DR. EDUARD VIETA, JOSEP TRUETA AWARD 2021

Dr. Eduard Vieta, head of the Psychiatry and Psychology Service at the Hospital Clínic, researcher at the Institute of Neurosciences of the University of Barcelona, ​​head of the IDIBAPS research group and Scientific Director of CIBERSAM, has been awarded this year’s edition of the “Josep Trueta” Prize, awarded by the Academy of Medical and Health Sciences of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands. This award recognizes an extraordinary contribution to the research and advancement of knowledge and also highlights the award “the diversity of articles, the impact of publications and the importance of the topic: bipolar disorder.” The award ceremony was held on May 18, with restrictions on the pandemic situation.
