NeurekaLAB received the Entrepreneurship & Research award from the Premios de Internet

This award is a recognition for all the hard work done by this spin-off and the importance of their impact on the society 

The Award ceremony of the Premios de Internet is the central act of the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (17 May) and it was held in the Espacio Telefónica Auditorium, Madrid. There were 336 applications for 4 categories: Digital Transformation, Personal Branding in social media, Entrepreneurship & Research and Healthy ageing. NeurekaLAB opted for the Entrepreneurship & Research category competing with 100 other companies. 

This award motivates us to move forward,” says Josep Maria Serra-Grabulosa, a researcher at UBneuro and Scientific director of NeurekaLAB “thanks to this we could have more networks with schools and other companies and that will help us to improve”. 

About NeurekaLAB 

NeurekaLAB is a spin-off of the University of Barcelona and Universitat de Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya. It was created by Josep Maria Serra-Grabulosa (UB) and Sergi Grau Carrión (UVic). The objective of this project is to design and develop new standardized technological solutions for the evaluation of the cognitive profile of children, as well as the early detection and treatment of learning difficulties and neurodevelopmental disorders. Now they are focusing on the dyscalculia, also called numerical dyslexia. 

About the Premios de Internet 

These awards aim to recognize those Initiatives, People or Organizations that have stood out the most, during the year before the gala, in the proper use of the Internet and new technologies. These prizes are awarded every year, since 1996, in May, on the occasion of the celebration of the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, popularly known as #internetday.
