The first Women in Neuroscience symposium gathers people from all around the world

The first Women in Neuroscience symposium organized by the PhD students of the Brainlab – Cognitive Neuroscience Research Group with the support of the Institute of Neurosciences at the University of Barcelona and the Spanish Society for Neurosciences (SENC) has been a success: 326 people from all over the world connected to listen to the scientific talks and the round table discussion about the position of women in science.

We hope that this symposium could serve as a starting point for future events on gender diversity and minorities representation in science, encouraging women to move forward in their academic careers and highlighting the need for collaboration and mutual support within the scientific community.
