Celebration of the 1st anniversary of the Preclinical Studies Area – avantdrug – Creatio/Universitat de Barcelona

On Thursday 13 June, the Representation of the European Commission in Barcelona and the Department of External Action and European Union (DEXT) organized a conference on the strategic European projects being promoted in Catalonia. Among the attendees were representatives of the European Commission and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, as well as members of the Government of Catalonia and heads of the main industrial and research projects.

Today, 1st July 2024, it has been 1 year since Creatio, a production and validation center of advanced therapies at the University of Barcelona, has had the Preclinical Studies Area – avantdrug. This area is dedicated to carrying out regulatory preclinical studies of products and technologies in development, allowing Creatio to offer support and services throughout the all drug development, from basic research to the production of advanced therapy medicinal products.

In these 365 days, the Preclinical Studies Area – avantdrug – has maintained uninterrupted activity, carrying out 51 transfer activities with public and private entities. The continued and growing collaborations show the trust that has been placed in Creatio with this service. Consolidating Creatio a key center in the biomedical ecosystem in Catalonia and in the Spain.
