Karim Lekadir

Prof. Karim Lekadir is an ICREA Research Professor at the University of Barcelona and Director of the Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Lab. He holds a PhD from Imperial College London and conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University. His work focuses on developing trustworthy and ethically grounded AI methods for medicine, including techniques for domain adaptation, bias correction, uncertainty estimation, and federated learning. He has coordinated multiple Horizon projects and received an ERC Consolidator Grant to advance accessible AI for medical imaging in resource-limited settings.
