The UBneuro PhD Welcome Day 2026, held on 26 February at the Sala Miquel Siguan (Faculty of Psychology, Campus Mundet), brought together newly enrolled doctoral researchers for a morning of connection, guidance and inspiration.
The session opened with a warm institutional welcome from UBneuro Director Prof. Jordi Alberch and members of the management team, followed by a workshop on responsible research led by Prof. Joanna Maria Sierpowska. PhD representatives shared practical advice on communicating science effectively, and an engaging round table created an open space to address doubts and concerns.
The event combined insightful talks, interactive moments and informal networking, concluding with an optional guided visit to the Cognitive Neuroscience Unit. The high participation and dynamic discussions confirmed the strength and enthusiasm of the new generation of UBneuro researchers, a truly successful start to their doctoral journey.
