Interpersonal Violence

Mental Health

This programme is interested in interpersonal violence adopting a broad and multidisciplinary approach. The research is focused on studying different forms of violence (e.g., maltreatment, psychological violence, sexual violence, among others) and combinations between them in childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. The programme analyses the perspective of both the victim and the offender, in community and at-risk populations, but also the overlap between the two. Identifying the risk and protective factors against violence, the research intends to prevent, evaluate, and treat the different forms and types of violence using advanced methods of analysis.
